HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-O-58598 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "An Ordinance to. classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of.buildings designed for specified uses and to regu- late and limit the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected, to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas of yards, courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such build- ings and to establish the boundaries of districts for the said purposes and pre- scribing penalties for the violation of its provisions," adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston on January 18, 1921, and approved by -the Mayor of said City on January 19, 1921, as amended, March 25, 1940, hereinafter called the "ZONING ORDINANCE" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a variation from the side and rear yard regulations of the zoning ordinance so far as said regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston, located at 2200 Hartzell Street, and legally described as - Lot 8 (except the South 5 feet thereof) in Block 22 in Stewart's resubdivision of B]iocks 22, 24 and 26 in North Evanston, in Cook County, Illinois, is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit Mr. and Mrs. William Ferrand to erect a one -car frame garage addition to the south of their residence at 2200 Hartzell Street, Pro- vided that a five-foot side yard from the south property line is maintained, all in accordance with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. SECTION 2:° The Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a permit to the same Mr. William Ferrand to erect a one -car frame garage addition to the south of said residence at 2200 Hartzell Street, provided. that a five-foot side yard on the south property line 599 is maintained in accordance with the findings of the Zoning Board of Appeals. All actions of the Director of Building which have been taken and which conform to the provisions of this ordinance are hereby ratified and approved. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law. INTRODUCED April 21, 1958 PASSED April 21, 1958 APPROVED April 21, 1958 J. R.
