AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the soliciting of
• bids for and the sale of the
brick and frame building and
garage located on property
described as 2333 Emerson Street.
v S, judgment order vas entered in the Superior
Court of Cook County, Illinois, on January 24, 1961 in a certain
prozcading entitled "City of Elston vs Gate Rogers, et al,
Casa 60 S 19810" in connection with petition to condemn certain
parcels of land for the relocation and improvement of Emerson
Street over the North Shore Channel in the City of Evanston; and
WHEMS, the City of Evanston has paid the ward In
accordance with said judgment order with respect to parcel No. 2
of such land and is now vested with the fee simple title to mid
• real property; and

tua-story brick and frame building with detached tv*-car garage
co=only described as 2333 person Street, and legally described

Lots 24 and 25 in McCormick Park Subdivision of
Lots 3 and 4 (except right -of -v ay of Sanitary
District Canal) of Circuit Court Partition of tM
Northwest quarter (NN4) of the Northmst quarter
Mk) of Section 130 Tovnship 41 North, Range 13
East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois,
and

said residence together with said garage be removed from said

over the North Shore Channel, and in the opinion of the City
Council it is desirable in the public interest to offer said
residence and garage for sale as personal property.
MW J. nxAt.W tsar., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C ITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Works
be and he is hereby ordered and
directed to solicit bids for the sale of said residence and
frame garage to the highest and best bidder for cash, subject
to the terms that the building shall be removed therefrom by
the purchaser at his own expense, within a short date to be
determined by the Director of Public Works.
The Director of Public Forks is further ordered and
directed to advertise the sale of such residence and garage as
personal property and submit to the City Council the highest
and best bid under- the most favorable conditions to the City of
Evanston, vi.th his recommendation for the purpose of obtaining
the approval of this City Council to accept such bid.
SECTION BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that upon
acceptance and approval of such
bid by the City Council, that the City of Evanston deliver bill
of sale to the approved bidder of the residence and detached
garage located upon the aforesaid property described in said
judgment order, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby author-
ized to execute and deliver said bill of sale to the approvod
bidder and to affix the seal 6f the City of Evanston thereto.

SECT -TON 3: This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after
its passage and -approval, according to law.
