Granting the Appeal of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church for Special Use Permit and Variations from Height, Side Yards and Front Yard Regulations of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance adopted November 21, 1960. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That a special use permit and' variations from the height, side yards and front yard regulations of the Evanston Zoning ;,Ordinance adopted November 21, 1960, so far as said regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston located at 1332-1334 Wesley Avenue and legally described as - Lots 1 and 2 in Block 1 in Hitt's Addition to Evanston, being a subdivision of Lots 1 to 4 inclusive, in Block 58 together with sub -lot 40 of Lots 5 to 10 inclusive, in said Block 58 in Evanston in the E.% of the S.E.% of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church to raze its present church building and erect a new church building 59 ft. in width and 113 ft. in depth with an additional projection of 14 ft. to the north side and another of 5 ft. to the south side, both at the front of the building facing Wesley Avenue. The church building to be erected .shall provide a side yard of 1416" to the north of the 14 ft. projection, and a side yard of 2816" to the north of the main church building, a side yard of 716" to the south of the 5 ft. projection, a side yard of 1216" to the south of the main church building, and a set -knack of 25 ft. from Wesley Avenue to line up „ —O0 with houses to the south. Also a heiqht variation of 40 ft. shall be permitted. Subject also to approval of the parking lot • at the southwest corner of Ashland Avenue and Lake Street by the Traffic Engineer and the Director of Building, and to the requirement that the parking to the rear of the church shall i not extend to a point north of the front building line of the houses immediately to the west of the subject property. SECTION 2: The Director of Building is ordered • • and directed to grant a permit to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, subject to the conditions enumerated in Section 1 of this ordinance, all in accordance with the findings and recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full. force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law.
