AN ORDINANCE
Granting the Appeal of Thomas W.
Jennings for a variation From the
area regulations of the Evanston
Zoning Ordinance adopted
November 21, 1960.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That a variation From the area
regulations of the Evanston Zoning
Ordinance adopted November 21, 1960, so far as said regulations
pertain to the property in the City of Evanston located at
1127 Dewey Avenue and legally described as -
The North 33 ft. of the South 67 ft. of Lot
10 in Block 7 in Chase & Pitner's Addition
to Evanston, a subdivision of the NW14 of
® the NEB of Section 24, Township 41 North,
Ranee 13 East of the Third Principal
Meridian (except the North 716 ft. thereof)
all in Cook County, Illinois,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit
Thomas W. Jennings to construct a two-family dwelling on
the aforesaid property subject to the following conditions:
1. The owner shall provide a hard surface parking
space at the rear of the lot,
2,. Any picture window must be eliminated from the
basement,
3, The height and grade dimensions of the proposed
basement shall provide that the portion of the
building located partly underground shall have
one-half or more than one-half of its clear
floor -to -ceiling height below the average grade
of the adjoining ground to bring said cellar
within the definition of the ordinance.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building is ordered
and directed to grant a permit to
• Thomas W. Jennings, subject to the conditions enumerated in

• In Section 1 of this ordinance, all in accordance with
the findings and recommendation of the Zoning Board of
Appeals.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after
its passage and approval, according to law.
