AN ORDINANCE
Amending the Evanston Zoning
Ordinance adopted November 21, 1960.
WHEREAS, the City Council referred to the Zoning Amend-
ment Committee a petition for consideration of a change in zoning
of properties fronting on both sides of the 1600 blocks of Lemar
Avenue and Laurel Avenue, and other properties fronting on the
south side of Emerson Street, and on the west side of Hartrey
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, after public hearing in accordance with the
• provisions of the zoning ordinance the Zoning Amendment Committee
has recommended a change in the zoning of said areas from R 3 Two
Family Residence District to an R 2 Single Family Residence District:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1, That the recommendation of the
Zoning Amendment Committee is
hereby confirmed and the Evanston Zoning Ordinance adopted November
21, 1960 and the official district map being a part of said
Evanston Zoning Ordinance, be amended so as to provide as follows-.
The properties fronting on both sides of the 1800
blocks of Lemar Avenue and Laurel Avenue, and all
properties fronting on the south side of Emerson
Street between Leland Avenue and Hartrey Avenue, and

Street and Lyons Street, including all lots in Block
1, all lots in Block 2, and Lots 1 to 8 inclusive,
and Lots 25 to 40 inclusive in Block 3 in Arthur T.
McIntosh's Church Street Addition, being part of the
S.W.% of the N.W.% of Section 13, Township 41 North,
Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook
County, Illinois,
be and the same are hereby zoned R 2 Single Family Residence District,
all in accordance with the findings and recommendations of the
Zoning Amendment Committee.

SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordin-
ances in conflict herewith are

force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication, according to law.
