Granting the Appeal of Phyllis
W. Hursthouse for a Variation
from the Use Regulations of the
Evanston Zoning Ordinance adopted
November 21, 1960.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That a variation from the use
regulations of the Evanston Zoning
Ordinance adopted November 21, 1960, so far as said regulations
pertain to the property in the City of Evanston located at
2921 Simpson Street and legally described as -
West 70 ft. of the south 204 ft. of Block 2
of J.J. Smith's Addition to Evanston, a
subdivision of the south 457.5 ft. of the
east 43 rods of the west � of the S.E. of
Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 13,
• East of the Third Principal Meridian in the
City of Evanston, Gook County, Illinois,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit Phyllis
W. Hursthouse.to operate a beauty parlor on the front half of
the first floor of said residence, subject to the following
conditions:
1. That the personnel be limited to three operators,
2. A small unilluminated sign approved by'the Director
of Building may be erected to designate the beauty
parlor use of the premises,
3. The beauty parlor use on said premises shall cease
on December 1, 1965.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building is ordered
. and directed to grant a permit to
Phyllis W. Hursthouse, subject to the conditions enumerated in
Section 1 of this ordinance, all in accordance with the findings
0 and recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
