AN ORDINANCE
Granting the Appeal of Roger E. Kilby
N for a Variation from Front Yard Reggu-
lations and for a Special Use Permit
under the Evanston Zoning Ordinance,
Adopted November 21, 1960.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COCK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That a variation from
the front yard regula-
tions of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, adopted November 21, 1960,
so far as said regulations pertain to the property in the City
of Evanston, located at 3315 Central Street, and for a Special.
Use Permit, said property being legally described as w
Lot 10 and Lot 11, lying east of Crawford Avenue
(as cut through) in Black 6 in the First Addi-
tion to Evanston Highlands, being a subdivision
of Lot 45 in County Clerk's Division of the WV2
(except Seeger's Subdivision) of Fractional
Section 33, Township:42 North, Range 13 East of
the Third Principal Meridian in Cook. County,
Illinois,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit Roger E.
Kilby to install a parking lot at 3315 Central Street, provided
that (a) the south 27 feet of the driveway from Central Street
is located so that its east line is 30 feet from the east prop-
erty line, (b) that, a front yard of 27 feet, instead of the
requested 5 feet, is maintained from the east line of the drive-
way to the east property line, and (c) that the remaining area
immediately west of the driveway shall be lined up with the
parking in the 8-1 District to the west; and provided further
that the lighting for the parking lot shall be installed in a
manner satisfactory to the Director of Building and Zoning
to the end of providing adequate lighting for the parking
area and maximum protection from glare

for the residential neighborhoods provided further* that should
traffic congestions occur by reason of the proposed driveways
on Crawford Avenue, that such driveways be relocated or eliminated
as recommended by the City Traffic Engineer; also, that bumpers or
a retaining wall be installed so that no part of the automobiles
parked will extend into the 5-foot side yard along the east side
of the proportyo and that a dense hedge shall be installed and
maintained along the east property line; and that the 27-foot
setback on Central Street be attractively landscaped, all in
accorda - nce zjith tho recommendations,of toe Zoning Board of Appeals.
SECTION 21 The-Diiector of Build-
ing and Zoning Is
ordered and directed to grant'A pomit to Roger Z. Kilbyt all
in accordance with the findings and recommendations of the Zoning

Board of Appeals.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall

be in full force and
effect from and aftor its passage and approval* according to law.
