AN ORDINANCE
Granting the Appeal of the Swedish
Retirement Association for a Varia-
tion from the Height Regulations
and for a Special Use permit of
the Evanston Zoning ordinance, A-
dopted November 21, 1960
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL o8 THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOISt
SECTION lr That a variation from the
height regulations and a
Special Use permit under the Evanston Zoning ordinance, adapted
November 210 1960, so far as said regulations and uses pertain
to the property in the City of Evanston, located `at 2320 Pioneer
Road, and legally described as -
Lots 10 20 4 and 5 in Lion's Subdivision of the
North 129 feet of the East 190 feet of Block 7
in John Culver's Subdivision in the Northwest
quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 12,
Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois,
also
Lots 1 to 11, both inclusive in Brommell't Sub-
division of Block 7 in John Culver's-Subdivision
aforesaid (except the East 1 0 feet and except
the North 150 f eet . thereof) ,
also
Block 7 (except Lion's Subdivision and except
Brommell's Subdivision heretofore included) in
John Culver's Subdivision in the Northwest quar-
ter of the Southwest quarter of Section1.2, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit the.
Swedish Retirement Association to construct a 4-story addition
to the existing building at 2320 pioneer Road, in accordance
with the revised site plan received November 7, 1961, subject
i to the following conditions:

1. That the site plan be Approved by the Director of
Plannin§,o the Traffic Fngineer, the 'Fire Department -
and the Public 'Works Department;
2. The City of Evanston dr ahy nearby,residents shall
not be put to any expense by reason of sewer and
water installations;.
3. Specifications shall provide for gas heating
equipment in both the old and new building;
4. The parking area shall be screened from the
neighborhood;
.5. That the line of the parking lot on Colfax Street
be approximately the same as the building line of
the new building;
6. That there be no cooking facilities installed in
the proposed units to constitute apartments,
all' in accordance with 'the finding, and recommendations'of the
Zoning Board of Appeals.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building and
Zoning is ordered and directed
to grant a permit to Swedish Retirement Association, subject to
the conditions specified in Section 1, and in accordance with the
findings and recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in'
full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval, according to law.I
