HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1964-114-O-64,2,74 1] 114-0-64 AN ORDINANCE Prohibiting Pinball Machines in the City of Evanston BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Chapter 29 of the Code of the City of Evanston, 1957, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Section 29-75, which shall read as follows: "It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or use in any place of public resort within the city, any pinball machine." SECTION 2: The term "pinball machine" as used in this section shall mean a game played with any number of balls or spheres upon a table or board or other flat surface (• having holes, pockets or cups into which such balls or spheres may drop or become lodged and having arches, pins or springs to control, deflect or impede the direction or speed of the balls or spheres put in motion by the player. SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be • in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
