AN ORDINANCE
Vacating part of the Alley North
of Davis Street, Between Orrington
.Avenue and the Alley Lying East of
Orrington Avenue
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That portion of the east -west
alley north of Davis Street
between Orrington Avenue and the north -south alleyly.ing east
of Orrington Avenue, and legally described as
That sixteen (16) foot public alley lying north
of and adjoining sub -lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 North-
western University Subdivision of lots 8 and 9,
Block 19, Village of Evanston (except the west
115 feet heretofore vacated) in the Southwest
quarter of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range
14, East of the Third Principal Meridian in the
City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois,
as cross -hatched and indicated by the words "HEREBY VACATED" on
the plat hereto attached, which plat for greater certainty is
hereby made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby
vacated and closed, inasmuch as the same is no longer required
for public use and the public will be subserved by such vacation,
provided however, that said vacation shall be subject to any
public utilities presently installed or located therein,
together with right of egress and ingress for maintenance of
the same.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force and
effect upon payment of compensation for vacation of said
public alley, subject to the condition that the City Clerk
• shall file or cause to be filed for record in the office of
the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certified
copy.of this ordinance together with the Plat made a part
thereof.

of Cook and State aforesaid, and Keeper of the Records, Files and Seal of said City, do
hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an Ordinance
(153-0-64)Vacating part of the Alley North of Davis Street, Between Orrington
Avenue and the Alley Lying East of Orrington Avenue, and legally described as -
That sixteen (16) foot public alley lying north of and adjoining
sub -lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 Northwestern University Subdivision of
lots 8 and 9, Block 19, Village of Evanston (except the west 115 feet
heretofore vacated) in the Southwest quarter of Section 18, Township
41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian in the
City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois,
Which said Ordinance was adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston at
its regular meeting of said City Council held on December 28, 1964, by the
affirmative vote as follows: Voting Aye: Alderman McCourt, Kamen, Vanneman, Nott,
Hills, Wiscomb, Spencer, Beck, Hartman, Ward, Howell, Boyer, Winfield, Trenbeth,
Emrich, Nichols, Gorby and Rubin. Voting Nay: Alderman Marshall. Absent:
Alderman Gotbaum. PRESIDING: Mayor Fiery.
all of which appears from the records and files in my office.
