• AN ORDINANCE
Vacating a Portion of the Public
Alley Extending North from Living-
ston Street, West of Eastwood
Avenue.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: All that portion of the
20 foot public alley lying
approximately 180 feet west of Eastwood Avenue, extending north
from Livingston Street, and legally described as -
That portion of the twenty (20) foot public alley
lying West of and adjoining Lot 1 of Palmer's
Resubdivision of Lots 12, 13, and 14 in Block 31,
North Evanston in South Section of Ouilmette
Reservation in Township 42 North, Range 13, East
of the Third Principal Meridian in the City of
• Evanston, Cook County, Illinois,
as cross -hatched and indicated by the words "HEREBY VACATED"
on the plat hereto attached, which plat for greater certainty
is hereby made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is
hereby vacated and closed, inasmuch as the same is no longer
required for public use and the public will be subserved by
such vacation, provided, however, that said vacation shall be
subject to any public utilities presently installed or located
therein, together with right of egress and ingress for main-
tenance of the same. .
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force and
effect upon payment of compensation for vacation of said public
alley, subject to the condition that the City Clerk shall file
or cause to be filed for record in the office of the Recorder
of Deeds of Cook County,. Illinois, a certified copy of this
• ordinance together with the Plat made a part thereof.

of Cook and State aforesaid, and Keeper of the Records, Files and Seal of said City, do
hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an Ordinance
(72-0-65) Vacating a Portion of the Public Alley Extending North from Livingston
Street, West of Eastwood Avenue and legally described as
That portion of the twenty(20) foot public alley lying West of
and adjoining Lot 1 of Palmer's Resubdivision of Lots 12, 13,
and 14 in Block 31, North Evanston in South Section of Ouilmette
Reservation in Township 42 North, Range 13, East of the Third
Principal Meridian in the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois.
Which said Ordinance was adopted by the City Council of the City of Evanston at
its regular meeting of said City Council held on July 26, 1965, by the affirmative
vote as follows: Voting Aye: Alderman Emrich, Hoover, Trenbeth, Winfield, Boyer,"
Ward, Hartman, Beck, Spencer, Wiscomb, Cain, Nott, Jans, Marshall, Lyons, Kamen,
and McCourt.. Voting Nay: None. Motion carried. Absent: Alderman Howell.
Presiding: Mayor John D. Emery.
