Annexing Certain Territory
to the City of Evanston
INEMS, the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater
Chicago has heretofore filed with the City Clerk of the City
of Evanston and the Village Clerk of the Village of Skokie,
a Petition requesting that the territory hereinafter described
be disconnected from the Village of Skokie and annexed to the
City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, more than half of said territory is owned by
the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago, and no
electors reside within said territory; and
WHEREAS, said territory does not exceed in area 160
'10 acres; and
*MEAS, said territory is situated within the Village
of Skokie and is contiguous to the City of Evanston= and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of
Skokie have heretofore consented, by an ordinance adopted on
October 25, 19659 that this territory be disconnected from
the Village of Skokie and annexed to the City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the City of
Evanston have determined that it is in the best interest of
the City of Evanston to annex said territory:

legally described as
That part of Section 23, Township 41 North,
Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Taking as a point of
beginning the intersection of the North line
of Main Street and the East line of said Section
23 thence Westerly along the North line of
Man Street 336.07 feet to a point; thence
Northerly along a line forming an angle of
88015130", as measured from East to North from
the North line of Main Street, 2605.26 feet to
a point on the North line of Section 23 afore-
said; thence Easterly along the North sine of
said Section 23, 340.59 feet, to the North East
corner of said Section 23; thence Southerly
along the East line of said Section 23, 2607.43
feet, more or less, to the North line of Main
Street and the point of beginning, all in Cook
County, Illinois.
ALSO
That part of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range
13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, described'
• as follows: Commencing at the South East corner of
said Section 14 as the point of beginning; thence
Westerly along the South line of said Section 14
340.59 feet to a point- thence Northerly on a line
forming an ang a of 87654145" as measured from
East to North Irom the South iine of said Section
14, 2646.83 feet, to a point on the North line of
the Southeast quarter of said Section 14, said L9
point is further described as being 335.06 feet
Westerly of the North East corner of said South
east quarter of Section 14, as measured on the North
line of said Southeast quarter; thence continuing
North Easterly on a line forming an angle of 1720571,
as measured from South through East to North from
the last described City Limits line, 1475.35 feet
to a point, said point being on the center line of
old. Evanston -Elgin Road; thence South Easterly
along the center line of old Evanston -Elgin Road
Isaid line forms an angle of 65 45130", as measured
rom South to East from last described line), 175.39
feet to its intersection with the East line of Sec-
tion 14, aforesaid; thence Southerly along the East
line of said Section 14, 1362.49 feet to the South
East corner of the North East Quarter of said
Section 14; thence continuing Southerly along said
East line of Section 14, 2645.14 feet more or less,
to the South East corner of said Section 14, being
the point of beginning, all in Cook County, Illinois,
