Granting the Appeal of Herbert J.
Swanson for a Variation from the
Use Regulations of the Evanston
Zoning Ordinance Adopted November
21.. 60.
OE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTONf COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1t That a variation from the use
regulations of the Evanston
Zoning Ordinance, adopted November 21, 1.9600 so far as said
regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston,
.located at 1726 Central Street, and legally described as -
Lot 4 in Block 9 in Forth Evanston, a Subdivision.
of Lots 11 to 16 and the West 4.3 acres of Loft 1.7
in George Smith's Subdivision of the South part
of Archangels Ouilmette Reserve and .also of Lots
1 and 3 and that part of Lot 2 lying between the
Chicago and Milwaukee Railroad and the West line
• of Lot 3 produced to the test .line of Section 12,
Township 41 North, Range 13 of Assessor's Plat
of Evanston, East of they Third Principal meridian
in Cook County, Illinois*
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit the
installation of a dwelling unit in the basement of the property
located at 1726 Central Street,subject to the owners executing
a covenant to the City of Evanston limiting the use of the
basement apartment to the present owner or his immediate family,
all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board
of Appeals and the City Council, of the City of Evanston.
SECTION 2: The Director of Building is
ordered and directed to grant
such permits or certificates of occupancy as shall be required

to effectuate the recommendations of the Zoning Board of
Appeals* and the variation granted thereunder.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full.
Force and effect from and after
its passage ;and approval in the manner provided bit -law.
