AN ORDINANCE
Vacating Portions of the Public Alleys
West of Green Bay Road, North of
McCormick Road., South. of, Grant. Street,
and East of Prairie Avenue."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: All those portions of the
public alleys lying west of
Green Bay Road, north of McCormick Road, south of Grant Street,
and east of Prairie Avenue, legally described as -
The twenty (20) foot public alley lying easterly
of and adjoining Lots 22 to 26 and the southerly
twenty (20) feet of Lot 27 and the twenty (20)
foot public alley lying northerly of and adjoining
Lot 14, all in Block 11, North Evanston in the
East half Fractional Section 12, Township 41
North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in the City of Evanston, County of Cook,,
State of Illinois,
as cross -hatched and indicated by the words "HEREBY VACATED"
on the sketch hereto attached, which sketch for greater
certainty is hereby made apart of this ordinance, be and the
same is hereby vacated and closed, inasmuch as the same is no
longer required for public use and the public will be subserved
by such vacation, provided, however, that said vacation shall be
subject to any public utilities presently installed or located
therein, together with right of egress and ingress for main-
tenance of the same.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall not take
effect and shall not be in force
and'effect until an agreement is executed between the City of
Evanston and School -District 65rwith the following matters
agreed upon:
(1) that compensation acceptable to the City Council
• be paid by the District in consideration of the
vacations;
(2) that.the District remove all alley returns and
driveways .not needed for its future use;
(3) that the District restore parkways, sidewalks, and
street curbs along McCormick Boulevard and Green
Bay Road; and
(4) that the District construct a public sidewalk along
the north side of McCormick Boulevard from Green
Bay Road.to the west line of the alley to be
vacated.
And further subject to the condition that the City Clerk shall
file or cause 'to be filed for record in the office of the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a certified copy
of this ordinance together with the Plat made a part thereof.

Call - Voting Aye: Alderman McCourt, Kamen, Lyons, Marshall, Jans, Nott, Cain,
Wiscomb, Spencer, Beck, Hartman, Ward, Howell, Boyer, Winfield, Trenbeth, Hoover
and Emrich. Voting Nay: None. Motion carried. Absent: Mayor John D. Emery.
Presiding: Mayor Pro Tem.Tienbeth.
all of which appears from the records and files in my office.
