AN ORDINANCE
Uirecting the male of Real.
Estate
WHEREAS, it has heretofore been determined that, in the
opinion of the corporate authorities of the -City of Evenston,
the real estate owned by said city and located on the south
side of Lincoln Street, immediately east of the Chicago Transit
Authority aright of way, Evanston, Illinois, or as hereafter
legally described, is no longer necessary, appropriate, required
for the use of, profitable to, or for the best interest of said
city; and
WHEREAGO on August 8, 1966, ,t the corporate authorities
enacted a certain ordinance, known as 98-0-660 and entitled
"An- 0rdiAance Avthorizi.ng Notice of PrQposal. to Sell Neal.
Estate and Advertisement for Bids," whereby the City Uanager
was authorized to give notice of proposal to sell said real
estate in the City of Evanston; and
4i UaEAS, a notice of proposal to sell was published for
three successive weeks, to -wit, August 11, 10,66, kigust 18, 1966,
and August 25, 1966, in the i'vansten Peview, a weekly newspaper
publish&d in the City of Evanston,•a copy of which notice is
attached hereto and mane Hart of this ordi.mance os 'cxhibit A;
and
WHERf:ASO the first publication of said notice was not
less than 30 days before the stay p,.-ovlded in the notice for
the opening of rids for the real estate and such notice
contained an accurate description of the property. stated the
i' purpoge for which it is used, and stated that bi..ds would be
considered and opened at the regular meeting of -the corporate

authorities to be held September 12, 1966 at 8.30 P.M.,
advertised for bids therefor and set Forth facts relating to
said bids.; and
WHEREAS, the bid submitted pursuant to said notice Is
before the _corporate authorities ,and has been opened at the
time stipulated in said notice and said bid has been fully
considered by said corporate authorities:
NOW* THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY 4F EVVISTON, COOK CCUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That
the
bid

for
the
purchase of
the
property presently owned by the City of Evanston, as herein-
after des+cri,bed# be and it is hereby accepted.
SECTION 21 It is hereby directed that when the

the proper deed of conveyance, stating theri.n the price there -

in fractional Section 7, Township 41 North,
Range lit, East of the Third Principal. Xtridian
lying easterly of a line 60 feet easterly of
the center line of the right of wain of the Chicago,
Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway Company, and west
of a line drawn at right angles to the south line
of the North half of the North half of the South-
west quarter of said fractional section at a paint
200 feet east of the paint of intersection of the
easterly aide line of Ridge Avenue and the said
south line as measured can said south line,
which property is commonly described as the triangular tract on
the south side of Lincoln Street, east of the Chicago Transit
Authority right of way, Evanston, Illinois, and is presently
used for a park.

SECTION 3: This ordinances shall be in full
force and effect upon its passage by three fourths of all the
corporate authorities of the city and its approval, as provided

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO SELL
REAL. ESTATE AND ADVERTISE-
MENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the City
of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, pro-
poses to sell the real estate presently
owned by it and legally described as:
That part of Lot a in the Assessor's
Subdivision in fractional Section 7,
Township 41 North, Range 14, East of
the Third Principal Meridian lying
easterly of a line 60 feet easterly of
the center line of the right of way
of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St.
Paul Railway Company, and west of
a line drawn at right angles to the
south line of the North half. of the
North half of the Southwest quarter
to said fractional section at a point
200 feet east of the point of intersec-
tion of the easterly side line of Ridge
Avenue and the said south line as
measured on said south line.
The above described property is lo-
cated on the south side of Lincoln Street
immediately east of the Chicago Transit
Authority right of way in Evanston,
Illinois, and is presently vacant. The
sale of said property is on the condi-
tion that no building permit will be is-
sued authorizing any construction until
the subject property is combined with.
other property to comprise a legal
zoning lot. Bids for said property will
be considered and opened at the r'egu-
tar meeting of the Evanston City Coun-
cil to be held on September 12, 1966 at
8:30 P.M. in the Municipal Building,
1501 Oak Avenue. .Evanston, Illinois.
The City of Evanston hereby advertises
for bids therefor. Bids should be ad-
dressed to Wayne - F. Anderson, City
Manager, at the above address. The cor-
porate authorities of the City of • Ev-
anston reserve the right to reject any .
