HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1966-160-O-669 S • Revised 12-12-66 160-0-66 AN ORDINANCE Amending Section III of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, Adopted November 21, 1960. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the following paragraphs of Section III of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, adopted November 21, 1960, as amended, be further amended so that the same shall hereafter be and read as follows: • "DWELLING UNIT. A room or group of contiguous rooms which include facilities which are intended to be used for living, sleeping, cooking and eat- ing, and which are arranged, designed or intended for use exclusively for living quarters for one family maintaining a single and separate house- keeping unit, except as provided in Section IV, part M, of this ordinance. "HOTEL, APARTMENT. A hotel in which all accommoda- tions are provided in dwelling units and in which at least 25 percent of the dwelling units are for occupancy by transient guests. An apartment hotel May have a dining room open to the public which is accessible only from the inner lobby or corridor. "TRANSIENT GUEST. A tenant who does not have a lease and occupies an apartment, lodging room, or other living quarters on a daily or weekly basis." • SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law. INTRODUCED December 12 , 1966 ADOPTED .
