AN ORDINANCE
Granting the Appeal of Jay Johnson
for a Variation from the Use
Regulations of the Evanston Zoning
Ordinance Adopted November 21, 1960
BE IT ORDAINtD BY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON-
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That a variation from the
use regulations of the
Evanston Zoning Ordinance, adopted November 21, 1960, so far as
said regulations pertain to the property in the City of Evanston.
located at 935 Chicago Avenue, and legally described as -
Lots 9 and 10 in Block 2 in Gibbs, Ladd and
George's Addition to Evanston in the Northeast
quarter of Section 19, Township 41 North, Range
14, Bast of the Third Principal Meridian, in
Cook County, Illinoj`-o,
is hereby granted, permitted and made so as to permit the open
storage of new and used automobiles on the property located at
935 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, Illinoi4, subject to the
following conditions:
1) that bumper stops shall be installed, adequately
placed so that it will be impossible to enter or
exit from Chicago Avenue;
2) that the area to be used for automobile storage
shall be surfaced with stone, properly compacted;
3) that lights, signs, or pennants shall not be
installed,
4) that the lot shall be used as an automobile storage
lot and not as a used car sales lot or as a parking lot,
5) that a solid 5-foot stockade fence be erected and set
back at least 4 feet from the sidewalk and continued
around the south corner to a point where it meets the
front of the church;
6) that a chain shall be installed along the alley to
prevent public access;
• 7) that the area between the fence and the sid#walk'be
properly landscaped.
all in accordan ce with the recommendations of the Zoning Board
of Appeals, and recommendations of the City Council.

SECTION 2; The Dire3ctot of Building is
ordered and directed to grant
such permits or certificates of occupancy as shall sae required
to effectuate the recommendations of the Zoning Beard of Appeals#
and the variation granted thereunder.
SECTION 31 This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after
its passage and approval in the manner provided by lave.
