AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use Permit to
Matt's Wholesale, Inc.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that
the application of.Matt's Wholesale, Inc. for a Special Use
Permit to allow an open sales lot for used cars on the property;
located at 1925 Green Bay Road, Evanston, Illinois, be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: The recommendation of the Zoning
Board of Appeals is hereby con-
firmed and the Director of Building is ordered and directed to
grant a permit to Matt's Wholesale, Inc. to allow an open sales
lot for used cars on the property located at 1925 Green Bay Road,
Evanston, Illinois, and legally described -as -
The Northwesterly 425 feet of the following legal
description; That part of the Northwest quarter of
the Northwest quarter of Section 18, Township 41'
North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian
and that part of the Northeast quarter of the North-
east quarter of Section 13, Township 41 North, Ranee
13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, bounded
and described as. follows, to wit: Commencing at the
point of intersection of the•South line of the North-
west quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Section
18 (said line'being also the enter line of Emerson
Street in said City of Evanston as now located and
established easterly of the elevated tracks of the
Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company),
subject to the following conditions:
(1) wheel stops shall be installed seven feet from
the curb line so that the bumpers of the auto-
mobiles cannot extend over the existing 4-foot
private sidewalk, and
(2) an outdoor amplifying system shall not be in-
stalled, or used at any time,
all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board
of Appeals.
