HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1969-013-O-69191 Revised 2-10-69 • 13-0-69 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use Permit to Second Church of Christ, Scientist WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, for a Special Use Permit to allow the installation of a parking lot with 32 spaces on the property located at 2715 Hurd Avenue, Evanston* Illinois, be granted. NOWTHEREFOR:, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANST©N, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: The recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals is hereby confirmed and the Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant a • permit to Second Church of Christ, Scientist, to allow the installation of a parking lot with 32 spaces on the property located at 2715 Hurd Avenue, Evanston, and legally described as - Lots 26 and 27 in Mitchell and Foster's Resubdivision of Lots 6 to 24 inclusive, in Block 6 and all of Block 7, together with the vacated public thorough- fares in Bauer's addition in East fractional: half of Southeast fractional quarter of Section 330 Town- ship 42 North, Range 13, East of the Third principal. Meridian, Cook County, Illinois; and Lots 46, 47 and 48 in Bauer's Addition in East fractional half of Southeast fractional quarter of Section 33, Township 42 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, Cook County, Illinois, subject to the following conditions: (1) the closest edge of the semi -circular driveway shall be a minimum distance of 20 feet from the southwest intersection of property lines; • (2) the semi -circular driveway shall have a width of no more than 12 feet; 19 • E • (B) the parking lot on the north and alley shall be constructed in full compliance with plans approved by the Traffic Engineer and amended drawing submitted; (4) screening shall be provided in accordance with the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and amended drawings submitted for approval by the Director of Building; () low level lighting shall be installed as approved by the Traffic Engineer, and (6) that a chain shall be placed across each access driveway to the parking lot on the north to prevent parking except for Church functions, all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals and the City Council of the City of Evanston. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
