AN ORDINANCE
Granting.a Special Use Permit to
Estate of M.C. Grover,, C.B. Byer,
M. Wilbur, and Alice.monroo, c/o
L. A. Peterson & Co., Agent, and
Butow Plumbing and Heating Co.
WHEREAS# the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application of Estate of M. C. Graver, C. B. Eyert
M. Wilbur# and Alice Monroe, c/o L. A. Peterson & Co., Agent,
and Butow Plumbing and Heating Co., for a Special Use Permit
to allow the expansion of an existing Special Use in the C3
Commercial District at 607 Dempster Street, Evanston* Illinois,
be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON* COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
• SECTION It That the recommendation of the Zoning
Board of Appeals it hereby confirmed
and the Director of Building is ordered and directed to grant
a permit to Estate of M. C. Grover, C. B. b3yer, M. Wilbur# and
Alice Monroe, c/o L. A. Peterson & Co., Agent, and Butow Plumb.
Ing and Heating Co. to allow the expansion of the existing
Special Use of the property at 607_Dempster Street for a plumbinb
contractor's office and shop, which property is legally de-
scribed as
That part of Block 39 in the Village (now City)
of Evanston# -bounded and described as follows,
to wit: Beginning at a point In the West line of
Chicago Avenue, 33 feet North of the original South
East corner of said block said point being the
North West corner of Chicago Avenue and Dempster
Street, in the City of Evanstonj running thence
North along the West line of Chicago Avenue, 115
feet; thence West parallel with the South line of
said block, 187.6 feet#more or less, to the East
• line of the strip of land conveyed by Abraham C.
Bird and wife to Chicago North Shore Street Rail-
way Company, by warranty deed, dated August 14,
18930 and recorded October 16, 1893, in the Re-
corder's office of Cook County, Illinois as Docu-
ment No. 1942233, in Book 4299 of records at page
240; running thence South Easterly along the East
line of said strip of land so conveyed to said
Railway Company and along the Easterly line of a

• by Ebenezer Jennings and wife, by deed dated
Jul �r 22, 1893 and recorded in the Recorder's
office of Cook County, Illinois, on July 240 1893,
as Document No. 1905564, in book 4314 of records,
page 366# as corrected by deed between the sane
parti.eso dated September 6, 1893 and recorded in
said RecQrderts office on September 23, 18930 as
Document Rio. ,1933281, in Bock 4355 of records, at
! page 422, to a point in the North lane of Dempster -
Street, 33 feet North of the original South line

Dempster Street 411.65.3 feet, more or Less, to the
point of beginning, •in Cock County, Illinois,
all in accordance with the recomxnandati.ons of the Zoning Board
of Appeals.
SECTION 2; This ard1nance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage
and approval in the manner provided by law.
