AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use Permit
to Roy E. Paterson
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appear has recommended
that the application of Roy E. Peterson for a Special Use
Permit to allow storage of household and office goods and
retail mercy �.w;f se, and as cartage and express facilities can
the property located at 1224-28 Emerson Street, Evanston,.
Illinois, he granted, sub;ect to certain conditions.
Nafi, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
SECTION 1: That the recommendation of the
Zoning Board of Appeals is hereby
confirmed and the Director of Inspections and Permits is ordered
and directed to grant a permit to Roy E. Peterson to allow
storage of household and office goods and retail merchandise,
and as cartage and express facilities on the property located
at 1224-28 Emerson Street, legally described as
Lot 1 ( except therefrom the following tract, be-
ginning at the northeasterly corner of said Lot l
and running Southeasterly 158.00 feet parallel to
and along the Vlosterly line of the public gray
formerly known ,as West Railroad Avenue and now
known as Green Bay Road, to the Southeast corner
of said Lot 1; thence West along the South .line
of said Lot 1, 22.31 feet; thence Northwesterly
36.60 feet to a point in the South line of the
Northerly 120 feet. (as measured along the North-
easterly line) of said Lot 1, said point being
18.97 feet West of the Northeasterly line of said
Lot 1, thence West parallel to the North line of
said Lot 1, 41.03 feet; thence Northwesterly para-
llel to the Westerly line of Green Bay Road, 113.0
feet to a paint 7.0 feet Southeasterly from a
point in the Borth line of said Lot 1, 64 feet
west of the Northeasterly ,corner thereof; thence
Westerly 29.46 feet to a paint in the North Line'
of said Lot 1, 85 feet Nest of the Northeasterly
corner thereof and thence East along said North

line 85 feet to the point of beginning), all in
Circuit Court Partition of Lots 23 and 25 in
County Clerk's Division of unsubdivided lands
in the Northwest quarter of Section 18, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 140 Bast of the Third
principal. Meridian, in the City of Evanston,
Cook Clounty, Illinois,
subject to the following conditions:
(1) that the rear door leading to the alley shall
be maintained for an emergency exit only; and
(2) that no furniture repair or spray painting
shall be done on the premises,
all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board
of Appeals and the city Council of the City of Evanston.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be in full,
force and effect from and after
its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
