ORDINANCE NO. 65-0-71 AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING STORM AND SANITARY SEWER CONNECTION ON CRAIFORD AVENUE FROM GROSS POINT ROAD TO OLD GLENVIEW ROAD BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook -County, Illinois. --WHEREAS, the City of Evanston and the State of Illinois, acting by and through its department of Public Works and Buildings, Division of Highways, have entered into an agreement relative to the improvement of Crawford Avenue, C.H. Route 051, State Section 1971-4-W&RS from Gross Point Road to Old Glenview Road; and WHEREAS, in order to facilitate said improvement it is necessary for the City to adopt an ordinance regulating storm and sanitary sewer connection or discharge of sanitary and industrial waste into storm sewers constructed as a part of this improvement. r NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION ONE That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to cause the discharge of sanitary and industrial waste water into any storm sewer constructed as a part of this Crawford Avenue Improvement in the City of Evanston from Gross Point Road to Old Glenview Road, and further, it shall be illegal for any additional storm sewer water connections to be made into any storm sewers constructed as part of the approved plan, SECTION TWO That if any section, paragraph, clause, phrase or part of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance; and the application of these provisions to any persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby. SECTION THREE All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed insofar as they conflict herewith. SECTION FOUR This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication pursuant to law. PASSED THIS 26th day of July 1971.
