AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the Sale of Certain
Personal Property
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston through its Department of
Mental Health has conducted a preschool center for handicapped
children, known as Mitchell Center; and
WHEREAS, certain personal property has been acquired and
used in the conduct of said center; and
WHEREAS, Mitchell Center has been discontinued and is no
longer operated by the City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, School District 65 has established a new program
for the handicapped which will be attended by most of the child-
ren who have attended Mitchell Center; and
WHEREAS, School District 65 can employ the personal property
used in the Mitchell Center in a similar fashion and is in need
of the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the following personal property
formerly used in the operation of the
Mitchell Center through'the Department of Mental Health is no
longer necessary or useful to the City of Evanston:
3 Clothing cabbies
1 2-piece folding storage cabinet

1 Slide, indoor
1 Stove
1 Utility Sink
1 Ironing board, folding
2 Easels, painting

2 Trucks, wood
1 Fire engine, metal
1 Cot
1 Doll bed
2 Chairs, plastic
1 Rocking chair
1 Round table, plastic
1 Stepstool
1 Box blocks
10 Large blocks, hollow, 1 ft.
4 Large blocks, hollow, 2 ft.
2 Triangular blocks, hollow
1 Box blocks, small hardwood
4 Walking boards
1 Box dolls
1 Box musical instruments
1 Roll paper, white
1 Box tools, miscellaneous
3 Small shovels
1 Box assorted records and puzzles
1 Box assorted toys
• 1 Bag water toys
1 Box assorted supplies
1 Box art supplies
1 Metal cabinet, 2 door, 6 ft.

SECTION 2: That the personal property described in
Section 1 be transferred to School District
65 for use in the operation of.its program for the handicapped
for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar ($1.00).
SECTION 3: That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to execute all necessary documents
to effect the transfer*of the above listed personal property to
School District 65.
