HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1972-075-O-72• Revised 10-30-72 75-0-72 AN ORDINANCE Amending Section VIII.B.l.a. of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, Adopted November 21, 1960. WHEREAS, the Zoning Amendment Committee held a public hearing on June 1, 1972, after publication of due notice, to consider the reference of the City Council of possible amendment of the Zoning Ordinance to classify artisans, such as potters, weavers, painters and similar pursuits as permitted uses in Business, Commercial and Manufacturing Districts; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Amendment Committee has recommended • amending of Section VIII.B.l.a. of the Zoning Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois; SECTION 1: That Section VIII.B.l.a. of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Evanston, adopted November 21, 1960, as amended, be further amended by adding the following: "Artisan shops for the custom production of goods, including but not limited to, ceramics, painting, weaving, leather work, jewelry, and clothing, either for sale or for the use of the artist, provided that special attention is given to see that the operation conforms to the require- ments of Section VIII,A.6. above." 0 • SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordi- nances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
