HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1973-093-O-73s • Introduced: October 29, 1973 Adopted: October 29, 1973 93-0-73 AN ORDINANCE Amending Condition 10 of Ordinance 67-0-72' Granting a Special Use Permit to the Swedish Retirement Association WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston adopted Ordinance 67-0-72 on January 15, 1973, granting a special use o ' permit to the Swedish Retirement Association to permit construc- tion of a building to be used for the expansion of the existing retirement home on the property located at 2320 Pioneer Road, Evanston, Illinois, subject to certain conditions, which -property is legally described as Lots "A" and "B" in the Plat of Consolidation of part of Block 7 in John Culver's Subdivision in the North- west quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, and Lot 4 in Lion's Subdivision of the North 129 feet of the East 190 feet of Block 7 in John Cullver's Subdivision in the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 12, Township .41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, WHEREAS, it is in -the best interests of the City of 'Evanston to amend Condition 10 of Section 1 of said Ordinance 67-0-72. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORD&INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Condition 10 of Section 1 of Ordinance 67-0-72 adopted January 15, 1973, granting a special use permit to the Swedish Retirement Association to permit construction of a building to be used.for the expansion of the existing retire- ment home on.the property located at 23-20 Pioneer Road, Evanston, Illinois, is hereby amended to read'as follows: "10. that a storm water drainage and detention system be designed to accommodate a 100-year rainfall (intensity of rainfall likely to occur for one period in a 100- year time span)., so that the runoff rate be limited to the storm water runoff rate from the project site in its 'natural, undeveloped state.' Said runoff rate shall not exceed 1.35 cubic feet per second. Before any permits are issued for the proposed project, the storm water drainage and detention system shall I A have the approval of the Metropolitan Sanitary District, Superintendent of Water and Sewers of the City of Evanston, and the Director of In- spections and Permits.14 SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its gassage.and approval in the • manner provided by: law. Introduced.
