Zweifel a (Owner) and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Inc. (Tenant) for a Special Use Permit to Allow the Retention of the Use of the Building Located at 1014 Emerson Street as a Theological School with Related Accessory Uses in a C-2 Coercial District 'EREAS on November 20, 1973 the Zoning Board of Appeals upon the application of Earl T. Zweifel (Owner) and the Inter- national Society for Krishna Consciousness, Inc. (Tenant) for a 3 special us,e permit to allow the retention of a use of the build- ing at 1014 Emerson Street as a Theological School with related accessory uses in a C-2 commercial district; said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof as provided by law; and WHEREAS the Zoning -Board of Appeals has recommended that such relief be granted upon certain conditions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON., COOK COOK, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of Earl T. Zweifel as Owner and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Inc. as Tenant for a special use permit to allow the retention of the use of a building located at 1014 Emerson • Street and legally described as: Lots four (4) and five (5) in Block 1 in the Circuit Court partition of Lot 22 in the County Clerk's Division in Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois, I 7-0-74 .1 V, 5 i 2 - for use as a Theological School with related accessory uses is hereby granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable law and the following conditions: a) elimination of all wholesaling and storage of incense on the premises; b) that all violations of the housing, electrical, plumbing and building codes shall be corrected within 180 days of the effective date of the ordinance; c) that there be a maximum occupancy of 46; d) that the owner make an annual payment in lieu of taxes if the property is ever exempted from taxation pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 120 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, as now or hereafter amended, at the rate the property would have been taxed had it been subject to 1. levies only by School Districts 65 and 202 and the City of Evanston and those corporate taxing bodies whose boundaries do not extend beyond the geographical limits of the City of Evanston; and e) that a covenant of agreement to the above conditions shall be submitted in recordable form by the applicants, all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals. SECOND 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is 0 hereby ordered and directed to grant such 7-0-74 -3- t permits as shall be required to effectuate provisions of this ordinance., SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law. Introduceed mar,--i i , 1974 Adopted.
