Reynolds and Melinda B. Andrews Relating to the Property Located at 813-817 Crain Street, Evanston, Illinois WHEREAS on December 18, 1973, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing upon the application of David T. Reynolds and Melinda B. Andrews for variations from the use and off-street parking provisions of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, adopted November 21, 1960, as they apply to the property located • at 813-817 Crain Street, Evanston, Illinois, an R3 Two -Family Residence District, said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such relief be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION l: That the application of David. T. Reynolds and! f Melinda B. Andrews for variations from the use, front yard, yard obstruction, off-street parking, and elimi- nation provisions of the Zoning Ordinance to permit: 1) Use of the existing two story brick building for • a design business and office building; 2) Continued use of the one-story brick building for storage and the use of ten garage spaces for the temporary and occasional storage of objects other than motor vehicles; 3 • i 21-0-74 -2- 1 4 is hereby granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws, and the following conditions: 1) that all variations shall terminate by September 24, 1987, and within 180 days after said termination date all build- ings and structures which are designed or intended for a use which is not permitted in any district or is permitted only in a business, commercial, or manufacturing district shall be removed • or altered, or remodeled, or converted for a use permitted in the district in which it is located, 2) that use of the two-story building shall.be limited to the fabricating of prototypes only; 3) that the design business shall be limited to a total of six employees, including David T. Reynolds and J. Wesley Andrews; 4) that any processes and equipment employed shall be limited to those which are not objectionable by reason of odor, dust, smoke, cinders, gas, noise, vibration, refuse matter, or water -carried waste; 5) that the two open off-street parking spaces shall • be partially improved by installing a gravel base at least four inches thick for each of said parking spaces; and 6) that a covenant of agreement to the above conditions shall be submitted in recordable form by the applicants, I 21-0 74 `r -3- all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
