Authorizing the Expenditure of
$41,445.00 of Motor Fuel Tax as
"'the City of Evanston's Contribution
to North Suburban Mass Transit Dis-
trict
WHEREAS, on August lb, 1971 the City Council of the City of
Evanston voted to participate in the creation of the North Subur-
ban Mass Transit District; and
WHEREAS,, the Board of Trustees of the North Suburban Mass
Transit District ha.s adopted a budget for the fiscal year 1974-
1975; and

WHETS, the.City Council of the City of Evanston finds tha-

a it is desirable, necessary, and in the public interest that a
portion of ids Motor Fuel Tax Funds be allotted to the North Subur-
ban Mass Transit District:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois:
SECTION 1: That in accordance with, and by the authority
-of Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 121,
§.7-202.14a, the amount of Forty One Thousand, Four Hundred Forty
Five and 00/100 Dollars ($41,445.00), a portion of the Motor Fuel
Tax Funds allocated to the City of Evanston, shall be turned over.
to the North Suburban Mass Transit -District. -
SECTION 2: That.said funds from the City of Evanston shall
be under the control of the Trustees of the
Forth Suburban Mass Transit. District and shall..be used in
accordance with the budget adopted by said District for the fiscal

year 1974-75.
SECTION 3: That said funds shall be distributed by the
City of Evanston upon adoption of this
ordinance.
SECTION 4: That in the event said District does not uti-
lize the funds in the manner set forth in their
budget, the unused portion shall be returned to the City of
Evanston.
SECTION, 5- That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication in the manner provided by law.
