HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1974-070-O-74Y f.; • • 0.� v 70-0-74 AN ORDINANCE Granting the Application of the Pentecostal Faith Church for a Special Use Permit and for a Variation from the Provisions of the Zoning Ordinance WHEREAS, on June 18, 1974, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing upon the application of the Pentecostal Faith Church for a Special Use Permit and for a variation from the off-street parking provisions of the Zoning Ordinance as they apply to the property located at 1615 Lake Street, Evanston, Illinois, an R-3, two-family residence district, said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof as provided by law; and WHEREAS the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such relief be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of the Pentecostal Faith Church for a Special Use Permit to allow temporary church use in a tent to be erected on the premises, and also for a variation from the off-street parking provisions of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the church use without installing the required off-street parking -on the property located at 1615 Lake Street, and legally described as: 0.4 f 70-0-74 -2- Lots 17, 18 and 19 in Block 1 of Brown and Culver's addition to Evanston, being a sub- division of the North half and the North 71.50 feet of the South half of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois, i.s hereby granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws, and the following conditions: (1) Both the variation and Special Use Permit herein • granted shall be limited to a period of eight weeks in 1974, said period commencing from the date the tent is erected on the premises; (2) The services shall terminate not later than 10:30 P.M. each evening; and (3) No amplification system for voice or music shall be installed on the premises; all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals. SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby ordered and directed to grant such permits as shall be required to effectuate the provisions of this Ordinance. _ L O2j • 70-0-74 n U -3- SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
