HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1978-105-O-78Ll 11/29/78 105-0-78 AN ORDINANCE Granting A Special Use Permit For The Premises At 1600 Ridge Avenue WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted public hear- ings on September 19, 1978, October 17, 1978, October 24, 1978 and November 21, 1978 upon the application of Rotary International for a special use to permit I the construction of an identification sign for their lawfully established non- residential use on property located in an R-5 General Residence District; said public -hearings having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; -and • WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals.has recommended that the special use permit be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTIO14 1: That the application of Rotary International to allow construction of an identification sign on property com- monly known as 1600 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, Illinois and legally described as: The North 120 ft. North of and adjoin-ing the South 148 ft. of Block 69 in Evanston in Section 18, Township 41 i North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian f in Cook County, Illinois; also Lots 1, 2 and 9 in the Resubdivision of the Resubdivi- sion of Lots 1, 2 and the South 73 ft. of Lots 3 and 4 in Block 69 in Evanston in Section 18, Township 41 ! North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian • in Cook County, Illinois; also Parcel 1: Lot 10 in the Resubdivision of the Resubdi- vision of Lots 1 and 2 and the South 73 ft. of Lots 3 and 4 in Block 69 in Evanston in Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Merid- ian in Cook County, Illinois; also 1( i 105-0-78 Parcel 2: The private alley situated North of and ad- joining Parcel 1 in said Resubdivision in Cook County, Illinois, is granted subject to compliance with the conditions hereinafter set forth. SECTION 2: That the grant of the special use permit to Rotary International shall be subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws, and the fol- lowing conditions: 1. The sign shall be constructed in conformity with the plan submitted by the applicant to the Zoning Board of Appeals and identified as Exhibit 9 therein; and 2. The sign shall be constructed in conformity with the setbacks from Davis Street and Ridge Avenue as indicated in Exhibit 3-submitted by the appli- cant to the Zoning Board of Appeals; and 3. The sign will not be illuminated after 10:00 P.M. each evening. SECTION 3: The Director of Inspections & Permits is hereby ordered and directed to grant such permits as shall be required to effectuate the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be i.n full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
