AN ORDINANCE
Granting Variations From The
Control Over Use And Lot Area
Regulations For The Property
i Located At 1220 Main Street And
847 Asbury, Evanston, Illinois
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on
June 20, 1978 and July 18, 1978 upon the application of Julia Lucchesi, Ozane
i Davis, and Hortense Davis for variations from control over use and lot area
' regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the continued separation of,
ownership of two lots, and the retention of the existing single family dwelling
at 847 Asbury Avenue, and the use of the lot at 1220 Main street as a buildable
j. lot, pursuant to notice thereof published in the manner provided by law; and
• WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such•re-

lief be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY -OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That based upon the recommendations of the Zoning Board
of Appeals, the application of Julia Lucchesi, Ozane
Davis, and Hortense Davis for variations from the control over use and lot
area regulations of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance:
(a) to permit retention of the existing single family dwelling
unit on the property located at 847 Asbury Avenue, Evanston,
Illinois, legally described as:
The North 140.0 feet of Lot 16 in Block 5 in
Pitner & Son's Addition to South Evanston, be-
ing a Resubdivision of Land included in Block
5 of said Addition and a strip of Land with
Alley lying South of Lots 5 to 13, inclusive,
as shown in former map of said Addition in the
SW 1/4 of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range
14, East of the Third Principal Meridian in
the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois

(b) to permit the retention of the separation of ownership of
the properties located at 847 Asbury Avenue, legally des-
cribed above, and 1220 Main Street, legally described as:
The North 140.0 feet of Lot 15 in Block 5 in
Pitner & Son's Addition to South Evanston, be-
ing a Resubdivision of Land included in Block
5 of said Addition and a strip of Land with
Alley lying South of Lots 5 to 13, inclusive,
as shown in former map of said Addition in the
SW 1/4 of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range
14, East of the Third.Principal Meridian in
the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois
(c) to permit the use of the lot at 1220 Main Street, Evanston,
Illinois, legally described above, as a buildable lot
are granted subject to compliance with the provisions of the Evanston Zoning
Ordinance, and other applicable laws.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and publication in
the manner provided by law.
