AN ORDINANCE
Vacating A Portion Of A Public
Alley Lying North Of Mulford Street
And West Of Elmwood Avenue
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY,
SECTION 1:

ILLINOIS:
That a portion of public alley in the block
bounded by Elmwood Avenue, Mulford Street,
Ridge Avenue, and the Southeasterly boundary of the St. Francis
Hcspital property and legally described as:
a
!! The 8 foot North and South public alley lying
North of the South line of Lot 9 extended West
�j and South of the North line of Lot 2 extended West
' and the East and West 14 foot public alley lying
! West of the East line of Elmwood Avenue, North of
' Lot 2 and Eas.. of the West line of the North and
South 8 foot public alley lying west of Lot 2,
all in Block 3, in Valeria M. Williams Addition
to Evanston, a subdivision of Lot 4 in County
Clerk's division of unsubdivided land in the
North West 4 of Section 30, Township 41 North,
Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
i in Cook County, Illinois
!and which is heavily outlined and marked "VACATED hereby ALLEY"

on the Plat attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance, is
hereby vacated and closed, inasmuch such alley serves no public
purpose and will serve as a portion of a parking lot accommodating
�I=acilities at St. Francis Hospital for which a special use permit
was granted.

SECTION 2: That St. Francis Hospital which shall be
benefited by such vacation shall pay to the

• City of Evanston the sum of THIRTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED and
no/100 DOLLARS ($13,500.00) in consideration for the vacation
thereof.

SECTION 3: The City of Evanston hereby reserves to it-
self and to all public utilities owning
public service facilities in such rights of ways, license and
easement rights to equipment presently installed and located on
those portions of the public way hereby closed, and further re-
serves the right of ingress and egress for the maintenance, re-
newal and reconstruction thereof.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and
j effect from and after its passage, approval,
and payment of the consideration provided for by law, and subject
to the condition that the City Clerk shall file or cause to be
1 filed for record in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, a certified copy of this ordinance,'together with the

Plat made a part hereof.
