HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1978-064-O-786/8/78, 7/6/78 64-0-78 AN ORDINA14CE Granting A Special Use Permit For The Premises At 529 South Boulevard WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted public hear- ings on April 18, 1978, May 3, 1978, and May 16, 1978 upon the application of Albert Goodman as sole beneficiary of the First National Bank and Trust Company of Evanston, Trust #R-2015, to permit the installation of an automobile laundry I and to permit the retention of an open sales lot on property commonly known as 529 South Boulevard which is in a C-2 Commercial District; said public hear- ings having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the j manner prescribed by law; and • WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such special use permit be granted; I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of Albert Goodman for a special use permit to permit installation of an automobile laundry and to permit the retention of an open sales lot on property commonly known as 529 South Boulevard, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as: Lots 15 and 16 (except the easterly 40 feet of said lots) in Block 5 in Keeny and Rinn's Addi- tion to Evanston, being a subdivision of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 19, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian I in Cook County, Illinois, the property hereby described as being all that part of said Lots • I 15 and 16 lying westerly of a line drawn paral- lel to and 40 feet westerly from the easterly line of said lots, is granted subject to compliance with the conditions hereinafter set forth. L • • • v j 64-0-78 SECTION 2: That the grant of the special use permit to Albert i' Goodman is granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws, and the following I ! conditions: 1. The automobile laundry shall be used solely by cars sold and serviced in conjunction with the Holiday Lincoln Mercury dealership adjacent to the north; 2. No amplified sound system shall be installed in conjunction with the open sales lot; and 3. The lot be maintained in a clean and tidy manner free from litter. The applicant shall take the necessary steps to assure adequate grounds care and grass trimming to perserve a clean and tidy appearance. SECTION 3: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby ordered and directed to grant such permits as shall be required to effectuate the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
