AN ORDINANCE
Amending Section 4-402 Of The
Code Of The City Of Evanston,
1957, As Amended, Relating To
Alcoholic Liquor Dealers
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,:
SECTION l: That Section 4-402(2) of the Code of the
City of Evanston, 1957, as amended, is here-
by further amended to read as follows:
"Section 4-402(2)
(2) Class B. Licenses, which shall authorize
the sale on the premises specified of alcoholic
liquor only for consumption on the premises
while food is available. Such licenses may be
issued only to hotels or restaurants in the
Core Area. Establishments holding Class B li-
censes must have some food service available
when alcoholic liquor is being sold. The mean-
ings of hotel, restaurant, and core area shall
be as defined in the ordinance. The applicant
for the renewal only of such licenses may elect
to pay the amount required herein semi-annually
or annually. Such election shall be made at
the time of application. The annual single
payment fee for initial issuance or renewal of
such license shall be two thousand eight hundred
seventy-five dollars ($2,875.00). The total fee
required hereunder for renewal applicants elect-
ing to make semi-annual payments shall be three
thousand nineteen dollars ($3,019.00), which
sum shall be payable pursuant to the provisions
of Section 4-403. No more than four (4) such
licenses shall be in force at any one time."
SECTION 2: That Section 4-402(4) of the Code of the
City of Evanston, 1957, as amended, is here-

"Section 4-402(4)
(4) Class D. Licenses, which shall duplicate
Class C. licenses in all regards except that
beer and or wine only shall be served. It
shall be unlawful for any person licensed here-
under to sell alcoholic liquor at a bar as de-
fined in Section 4-401 of this ordinance except
to persons attending a reception or party not
open to the public. The applicants for the
renewal only of such licenses may elect to pay
the amount required herein semi-annually or
annually. Such election shall be made at the
time of application. The annual single payment
fee for initial issuance or renewal of such li-
cense shall be one thousand one hundred fifty
dollars ($1,150.00). The total fee required
hereunder for renewal applicants electing to
make semi-annual payments shall be one thousand
two hundred eight dollars ($1,208.00� which
sum shall be payable pursuant to the provisions
of Section 4-403. No more than three (3) such
licenses shall be in force at any one time."
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in

effect from and after its passage, approval,
