AN ORDINANCE
I Granting Variations From The Lot
�i Area, Conversion And Front Yard
Regulations At 1834 Ashland Avenue
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted public hear- ,
ings on March 20, 1979, April 17, 1979 and June 19, 1979 upon the application
� of Leon Robinson, Jr. for variations from the lot area, conversion and front

yard regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit retention of the second !
dwelling unit, a front porch, and a stairway structure in the building at �.
1834 Ashland Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, property located in an R-3 Two- ,
Family Residence District; said public hearings having been conducted pursuant,
to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and

WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the vari-
ations from the lot area, conversion and front yard regulations of the
!, Zoning Ordinance be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY'OF
EVANSTON$ COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION 1: That the application of Leon Robinson, Jr, for varia-
tions'from the lot area, conversion and front yard regu-
lations of the Zoning-Or.dinance -to permit the retention of the second dwelling
unit and the front porch and stairway structure on property at 1834 Ashland
Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as follows:

The South 11 feet of the East 126-1/2 feet of Lot 3
and the North 28.0 feet of the East 126-1/2 feet of
i Lot 4 in Block 2 in Gilbert and Farmer's addition
to Evanston, a Subdivision of that part of the South-
east 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 13, Township
41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Mer,
' idian, lying West of Lyons, Gilbert, and Woodford's
addition to Evanston, in Cook County, Illinois,

• is is granted subject to compliance with all other applicable provisions of the
' Zoning Ordinance and all other applicable laws and the condition that the
applicable violations of the City Code cited in the May 31, 1979 memorandum
from Edward C. Marsh to William A. Dettmer, attached and incorporated by !

(� reference into this ordinance, be corrected.
I± SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby
ordered i; and directed to grant such permits as shall be ! i
i� required to effectuate the provisions of this ordinance.
