AN ORDINANCE
Amending Sections 6-7-1(D)
And 6-7-2-2 Of The Evanston
Zoning Ordinance

WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Amendment Committee conducted public
hearings on May 3, 1979, June 7, 1979, and June 21, 1979 on a proposed amend-
ment to Sections 6-7-1(D) and 6-7-2-2 of the Zoning Ordinance, said public
hearings having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in
the manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Amendment Committee has recommended that such i
amendment be made; i
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF {
' EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: I

SECTION 1; That Section 6-7-1(D) of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance,
adopted November 21, 1960, as amended, be and hereby is
further amended to read as follows:
"D. Within a business district, goods offered for sale
by any business establishment, except an antique store
or resale shop for apparel and accessories, shall con-
sist of not less than seventy-five percent (75%) new
merchandise and not less than seventy-five percent (75%)
of the total sales volume shall consist of retail sales
on the premises." '
SECTION 2. That Section 6-7-2-2 of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, I

adopted November 21, 1960, as amended, be and hereby is
further amended by adding the following special use thereto:
"Resale shop for apparel and accessories, in B1, B21
and B3 Districts only."

SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force -and effect from
