HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1979-063-O-791 • 8/3/79 63-0-79 AN ORDINANCE Amending Section 27-12.13 Of The Traffic Ordinance BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Section 27-12.13 of the Code of the City of Evanston, 1957, as amended, be and hereby is further amended to read as follows: "Sec. 27-12.13. Street Cleaning. To facilitate the cleaning of streets and public thoroughfares within the City of Evanston, the City is hereby divided into six (6) districts. These districts are in effect during the months of April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November. During those months, pursuant to this ordinance and posted signs giving notice thereof, it shall be unlawful, where parking is not otherwise prohibited, for any person to stop, stand, park or leave unattended a motor vehicle upon the following described streets during the days and hours hereinafter set forth: A. DISTRICT ONE: All that part of the City lying east and south of the boundaries as follows: G ( Commencing at the intersection of the South City Limits (; and the west line of Ridge Avenue; thence north along said �i west line,of Ridge Avenue to a point, being the intersec- tion of said west line and the south line of Oakton Street; thence west along the said south line of Oakton Street to a point,being the intersection of said south line and the i west line of Asbury Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Asbury Avenue to a point, being the inter- section of said west line and the north line of Greenleaf Street; thence east along the said north line of Greenleaf Street to the east City limits. i 1. DISTRICT THREE: All that part of the City lying west of lthe boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the west City limits and the north line of Greenleaf Street; thence east along said north line of Greenleaf Street to a point, being the in- I; tersection of said north line and the west line of Asbury i Avenue; thence north alonyg the said west line of Asbury Avenue to a point, being the intersection of said west line !} and the center of the right of way of the Milwaukee Divi- sion of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad; thence north- westerly along the center of the said right of way to a I -2- 63-0-79 point, being the intersection of the center of the said right of way and the south st line of McCormick Boulevard; thence southwesterly along the said southeast line of McCormick Boulevard to the west City limits. 1. (b) On the north side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and westerly direction, and on the east side of all streets and public thoroughfares ex- tending in a general northerly and southerly direction on each Thursday. DISTRICT FOUR: All that part of the City lying east of the boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the east City limits and the north line of Greenleaf Street; thence west along said north line of Greenleaf Street to a point, being the in- tersection of said north line and the west line of Asbury Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Asbury Avenue to a point, being the intersection of said west line and the center of the right of way of the Milwaukee Divi- sion of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad; thence north- westerly along the center of the said right of way to a point, being the intersection of the center of the said right of way and the north line of Simpson Street; thence east along the said north line of Simpson Street to the east City limits. 1. Between the hours of one o'clock A.M. (1:00 A.M.) and eight o'clock A.M. (8:00 A.M.). (a) On the south side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and.westerly direction, and on the west side of all streets and public thoroughfares ex- tending in a general northerly and southerly direction on each Tuesday. (b) On the north side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and westerly direction, and on the east side of all streets and public thoroughfares ex- tending in a general northerly and southerly direction on each Friday. -3- 63-0-79 E. DISTRICT FIVE: All that part of the City lying east and north of the boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the east City limits and the north line of Simpson Street; thence west along,said north line of Simpson Street to a point, being the inter- section of said north line and the center of the right of way of the Milwaukee Division of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad, thence northwesterly along the center of the said right of way to a point, being the intersection of the center of the said right of way and the southeast line of McCormick Boulevard; thence southwesterly along said southeast line of McCormick Boulevard to a point, being the intersection of said southeast line and the west line of Hartrey Avenue; thence north along the said west line of Hartrey Avenue to a point, being the intersection of said west line and the south line of Central Street; thence west along the said south line of Central Street to a point, being the intersection of said south line and the west line of Walnut Street; thence north along the said west line of Walnut Street to the north City limits. 1. Between the hours of one o'clock A.M. (1:00 A.M.) and eight o'clock A.M. (8:00 A.M.). (a) On the south side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending in a general easterly and westerly direction, and on the west side of all streets and public thoroughfares ex- tending in a general northerly and southerly direction on each Wednesday. DISTRICT SIX: All that part of the City lying west and north of the boundaries as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the west City limits and the southeast line of McCormick Boulevard; thence north- east along said southeast line of McCormick Boulevard to a point, being the intersection of said southeast line and the west line of Hartrey Avenue; thence north along said west line of Hartrey Avenue to a point, being the inter- section of said west line and the south line of Central Street; thence west along said south line of Central Street to a point, being the intersection of said south line and the west line of Walnut: -Street; thence north along said west line of Walnut Street -to the north City limits. 1. Between the hours of one o'clock A.M. (1:00 A.M.) and eight o'clock A.M. (8:00 A.M.).
