McIntosh's Church Street Addi- tion to Evanston, being a Subdivision in the Southwest I quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13, Town- ship 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. Parcel 2: Lot 19 in Block 2 in A. T. McIntosh's Church Street Addition, a Subdivision of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Mer- idian, in Cook County, Illinois, I� commonly known as 1815 and 1817 Lemar Avenue. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has determined that it is no longer necessary, appropriate, or in the best interest of the City of Evanston that it retain title to said real estate, and that said real estate is not required for the use of the City of Evanston; and . I I � WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has determined I that the best interest of the City of Evanston would be served by the con- veyance of said property to a qualified party who would develop said property in conformity with residential use or special use zoning regulations applicable to the district; and • ,) WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 85-0-78 notice has been given of the I proposal to sell such real estate and bids have been invited for the purchase �j of said real estate, said notice having been published for three (3) successive weeks in the Evanston Review, a newspaper published in the City of Evanston; and ! I F74 l 4-0-79 E WHEREAS, pursuant to said notice bids were opened on December 29, I . 1978 by the City Manager; and I� I WHEREAS, the following bid for the purchase of such property has been received: Bibleway Penticostal Church / $5,000.00 I and 1 { WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the best in- terest of the City of Evanston and its residents will be served by the accep- tance of the bid submitted by Bibleway Penticostal Church and the sale of the aforesaid real estate to such bidder in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS I I, ($5,000.00); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF { EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: I� 1 SECTION 1: The City Council finds as fact the recitals hereinabove i 1 set forth. 1 SECTION 2: The bid of Bibleway Penticostal Church in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00) is hereby accepted by the City Council of the City of Evanston for the -sale of the following des- cribed real estate: i Parcel 1: Lot 20 and the North 5 feet of Lot 21, in Block 2, in Arthur T. McIntosh's Church Street Addi- tion to Evanston, being a Subdivision in the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 13, Town- ship 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal ii Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. McIntosh's Church Street Addition, a Subdivision of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois commonly known as 1815 and 1817 Lemar Avenue. -2- • i 4-0-79 SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest, a contract for the sale and purchase of the aforesaid real estate, which contract shall be in accordance with the specifications, the bid submitted thereon and accepted by the City Council in accordance with law. SECTION 4: Upon satisfactiop of the terms of the aforesaid contract, and upon the payment or securing of the aforesaid bid price in the manner provided in said contract, the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer the aforesaid real estate to Bibleway Penticostal Church by a proper deed of conveyance, stating therein the afore- said consideration, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to acknowledge and attest such deed, and to affix thereto the Seal of the City of Evanston. i i SECTION 5: The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized respect- ively, to execute and attest such other documents as may be necessary to the conveyance herein authorized. SECTION 6: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- ' with are hereby repealed. SECTION 7: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by a vote of at least three - fifths (3/5) of the elected Aldermen now holding office, and approval in the manner provided by law.
