Granting a Special Use to Permit Two Child Care Institutions (823, 827 Gaffield Place) u 9/17/80 10/20/80 10/21/80 WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on July 15, 1980 and again on August 19, 1980 upon the applications I of the Jesuit Program for Living & Learning (contract purchaser) for a special use to permit the establishment of two child care institutions, one at 823 Gaffield Place and one at 827 Gaffield Place, properties located in an R5 General Residence District; said hearings having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said special use be granted; I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF y' EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the applications of the Jesuit Program for Living & Learning for a special use to permit establishment of two child care institutions for the purpose of housing and caring for a maximum of ten boys each, on the properties located at 823 Gaffield Place and 827 Gaffield Place, and each legally described respectively as follows: jl The West 26.35 feet of Lot 4 and the East 15.65 feet of Lot 5 in Gaffield's Subdivision of part ! of the S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 7, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. 1 The West 34.35 feet of Lot 5 and the East 8 feet t of Lot 6 in Gaffield's Subdivision of part of the S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section 7, Township 41 North Range 14, East of the Third Principal Mleridian, If according to plat thereof recorded November 4, 1887, as Document 891328, in Book 27 of plats, page 21, in Cook County, Illinois. i e• n U 96-0-80 10/20/80 i 10/21/80 are granted, subject to compliance with all other conditions of this ordinance hereinafter set forth. SECTION 2: ,That this special use to the Jesuit Program for ' Living and Learning is granted subject to compliance i with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws, and the following conditions: 1. That the Jesuit Program for Living and Learning shall provide to the City Manager of the City of Evanston such information as he may reasonably request. 2. That said special use shall be limited to the ownership of and use by the Jesuit Program for Living and Learning. 3. That the Jesuit Program for Living and Learning shall pay to i the City of Evanston the sum of $1,000.00, in lieu of real ? estate taxes. This payment shall be made annually on or before October first of each year and shall be reassessed every ten (10) years beginning October 1990. 4. That if any resident of the Program is enrolled as a full time student in the Evanston Public School System at any time between January 1st and June 1st of any year, then the payment by the Program to the City of Evanston for the year said student is so enrolled shall be raised from $1,000.00 to $3,500.00 for = that year. SECTION 3: That a covenant or covenants in recordable form be executed and delivered to the office of Corporation f Counsel by the applicants reciting agreement to such condition. ' SECTION 4: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms of this ordinance. SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner pr vided by law.
