Ordinance Authorizing

Personal Property Owned

WHEREAS, in
the opinion
of at least three -fourths of the corporate
authorities of the City
of Evanston, it is no longer necessary or useful to

SECTION 2: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the City Manager is
I I
hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned
personal property now owned by the City of Evanston, at public auction on
Saturday, September 6, 1980, at 12:00 NOON at the Public Works Center, 255
,West Dundee Road, Wheeling, Illinois, to the highest bidder on said personal
property.
SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the
Northwest Municipal Conference to advertise the sale
�of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the
'community before the date of said public auction.
SECTION 4: No bid which is less than the minimum price set forth in
the list of property to be sold shall be accepted. i
SECTION 5: The City Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the
Northwest Municipal Conference to enter into an agree-
,ment for the sale of said personal property. The auction shall be conducted
and the auctioneer shall be compensated in the manner set forth in the contract
i
attached hereto and made part of this ordinance.
SECTION 6: Upon payment of the full auction price, the City Manager
is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer
title to the aforesaid personal property, to the successful bidder.

SECTION 7: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, by a vote of at least three -
fourths of the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by
law.
