HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1980-033-O-80,i i 33-0-80 • !i AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use Permit for Child Care Institution on the j; Property Located at 2200 Main 40 0 WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public i' iihearing on February 19, 1980 and again on March 25, 1980 upon the application .,of The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston, Inc., (contract purchaser) for special use to permit an addition to the existing building and use of the ;;existing building and proposed addition as a child care institution on prop.ertyj located at 2200 Plain Street, Evanston, Illinois; said hearing having been ;!conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed I I , 'by law; and i j WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the I� `;application for said variation and said special use be granted; �j NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLI140IS: i I I SECTION 1: That the application of The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston, Inc. for a special use to permit an addition to the existing I building and proposed addition as 'a child care institution on the property located at 2200 Main Street, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as follows: Lots 1 and 2 in Block 2 (except the West 5.0 feet of said Lots) in Traver's Subdivision of the North 1/2 of the Middle 1/3 of the North 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 24, Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois is granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the condition that the proposed addition be constructed in conformity with the plan dated March 11, 1980, and the :j ii I. s. i 4) i i t• • • I 33-0-80 recommendations of the City Traffic Engineer: 1. Designate 1 space "Handicapped stall." 2. Area (paved) between property line to south and present curb line must not be utilized for traffic.or parking at any time since it is City right-of-way. The City shall post "no parking" signs and will enforce same. 3. One-way operation of drive must be signed at entrance and exit. (Entrance "ONE-WAY" with arrow; exit "DO NOT ENTER" facing south. 4. Close up existing curbcut adjacent to alley. �j 5. Run west curb lineof driveway perpendicular to property line. j Close up drive width to 15-18 feet. . I ;I �j SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms of this ordinance. i( SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from i ;land after its passage and approval in the manner provided by the law.
