HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1981-093-O-81I; 9/25/81 93-0-81 AN ORDINANCE • If li Granting a Special Use Permit for Construction of a Four -Story Addition I! and Remodeling of Current Facility, and for �i Use of Buildings for Mix of Dwelling and Rooming Units as 3200 Grant li Street (Presbyterian Home) WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on August 18, 1981, upon application of the Presbyterian Home for a special use to permit construction of a four story.addition referred to as the Wilson Link; remodeling of the Geneva Place building; and use of said addition and said building now and in the future for any I. j mix of dwelling units and/or rooming units not exceeding a total of 86 units, all on property located in an R5 General Residence District; said f hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said special use be granted: !I �j NOW, THEREFORF,.BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ii I OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of the Presbyterian Home for a special use to permit (1) construction of a I jl four story addition referred to as the Wilson Link; (2) remodeling of the Geneva Place building; and (3) use of said addition and said building j� now and in the future for any mix of dwelling units and/or rooming units not exceeding a total of 86 units, all on the property located at 3200 Grant Street, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as follows: Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, in Block 5 and Lots 1 to 11 , inclusive, in Block 6 in the Highlands, Evanston Lincolnwood First Addition, being a subdivision of the South West Quarter of the South West Quarter (except the East 20 acres thereof) of Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian; Also • • • i 93-0-81 9/25/81 j The West half of the South East Quarter of the ' South West Quarter (except parts dedicated for street purposes) of Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian; I Also The East 20 acres of the South West Quarter of the South West Quarter of Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian (except parts dedicated for street purposes); Together With All of the North and South 8.0 foot alley lying East of and adjoining Lots 5 to 11, inclusive, in Block 6; also 8.0 foot alley lying East of and adjoining Lots 1 to 8 in Block 5, both inclusive, in "The Highlands", Evanston Lincolnwood First Addition, being a subdivision of the South West Quarter of the South West Quarter (except the East 20 acres thereof) of Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, recorded May 5, 1926, in Book 226, Page 33, as Document Number 9264845; Also All of the East and West 16.0 foot alley lying North of and adjoining Lots 9 and 10 in Block 5 in "The High- lands", Evanston Lincolnwood First. SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms of this ordinance. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
