YHA �.`� 91-0-81 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Variation and Special Use to Saint Francis Hospital for Properties located at 355 Ridge Avenue, 411 Sherman Avenue and 801 Austin Street. WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on July 21, 1981 upon the application of Saint Francis Hospital for varia- tions from the sign and yard obstruction- regulations and a special use to ' E permit certain signs on properties located at 355 Ridge.Avenue, 411 Sherman.*I v Avenue and 801 Austin Street; said hearing having been conducted pursuant l to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said variations and special use be granted. i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of Saint Francis Hospital for variations from the sign and yard obstruction regu lations and a special use to permit certain signs on properties located at 355 Ridge Avenue, 411 Sherman Avenue and 801 Austin Street, Evanston, , Illinois, and legally described as follows: 335 Ridge Avenue is legally described as: Lot 2, except.the East 669.00 feet thereof, all of Lot 3 and that part of Lot 5 lying North of a line 1462.61 feet North of and parallel with the South line of the N.W. 1/4 of Section 30, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in County Clerk's Division of un- subdivided lands in the N.W. 1/4 of Section 30, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian, (excepting the Westerly 33.00 feet of said Lots taken for + Ridge Avenue) (A) The West 60.00 feet of the East 669.00 feet of Lot 2, # aforesaid. (B) Lots 2. to 9, both inclusive in Block 3 in Valeria M. Williams Addition to Evanston, being a subdivision in the N.W. 1/4 of Section 30 Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian. +; I • r: 11 I 91-0-81 8/21/81 i (C) The West 258 feet of the East 609 feet of said lot 2, in said County Clerk's Division. (B) and (D)) ; The property at 411 Sherman Avenue is legally described as: Lots 28, 29, and 30 in East Ridge addition to Evanston being a Subdivision of the East 298 feet of the South 756 chains of the North 14.63 chains of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 30, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the.Third Principal j Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. f The property at 801 Austin Street is legally described as: Lots 10 to 18, both inclusive, (except that part of said lots taker, for widening of Austin Avenue.), in Block 5 in Merrill Ladd's Addition to Evanston in Section 30, Town— ship 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois. is granted as follows: A. A variation from the sign regulations, Section 6-5-1-3(A) of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the installation of 29 signs i of a type not permitted in the district; B. A variation from the yard obstruction regulations, Section 1 6-3-6-1, of the Zoning Ordinance, to permit the installation of 26 signs of a type not permitted in the district, at locations not permitted under the yard obstruction regulations; I C. A variation from the yard obstruction regulations, Section 6-3-6-1, of the Zoning Ordinance, to permit the installation of 2 identification signs for lawfully established nonresidential I uses at locations not permitted under the yard obstruction regu- lations; and D. A special use for 5 identification signs for lawfully established � nonresidential uses, proposed for legal locations; i subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following conditions: That the signs be installed in accordance with the plans identified as Board's Exhibit 1, Board's Exhibit 2 and the exterior signage pamphlet identi- fied.as Board's Exhibit 3. -2- I` r I 91-0-81 8/21/81 • SECTION 2: The Director of Building and Zoning is hereby directed to issue such permit pursuant to_the•terms v I� of this ordinance.
