HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1981-077-O-81• • • 7/28/81 8/4/81 77-0-81 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use at 2201 Dempster WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on June 16, 1981 and again on July 21, 1981 upon the application of Nation- al Pride Equipment Company, Inc. for a special use to permit construction of an automobile laundry at 2201 Dempster; said hearings having been con- ducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by 1 aw; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals'has recommended that the application for said special use be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of National Pride Equipment i i Company, Inc. for a special use to permit construction of an automobile laundry on the property located at 2201 Dempster, Evanston Illinois, and legally described as follows: The South 18.0 feet of lot 8 in all of lots 9 and 10 ,3 in block 7 in Fowler and McDaniel's Subdivision of the Southwest quarter of.the Southwest quarter of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following conditions: a. That it be constructed in accordance with the plans submitted is and identified as Board's Exhibit 1. ii b. The applicant shall provide an attendant between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. so long as the special use remains in effect. �i i! i • • 7/24/81 8/4/81 77-0-81 ii. i' C. The applicant shall take all necessary steps to prevent vehicles j� entering or leaving the facility's premises from stacking, double parking, i �i or obstructing the public right-of-way (street, parkway, or sidewalk) in- cluding, but notlimited to, the hiring of a security guard, an off -duty ji policeman or reimbursing the City for the costs of stationing a police officer at the premises to direct traffic. If traffic problems persist the applicant agrees to permit the installation of traffic signs prohibit- ing left turns to vehicles entering or leaving the premises. d. The applicant shall prevent loitering; gambling; vandalism; or ' illegal drug use, possession or sale on the premises. IE e. Within five (5) days of receipt of -written notice from the City f Manager of incidents of those activities set forth in (c) and (d) the applicant shall initiate whatever steps are necessary to alleviate promptly i such violations including, but not limited to, providing an attendant, ' security guard, or off -duty policeman seven days a week, 24 hours per day, ii or reimbursing the City for the costs of stationing a police officer at the I� premises to prevent violation of this provision. `i f. A covenant in recordable form shall be executed by the applicant it subscribing to the terms and conditions of this ordinance, prior to the i ;j issuance of any permits.
