AN ORDINANCE
Granting Variations From the Lot
Area, Conversion, Off -Street Parking,
and Non -Conforming Structure Regulations
at 1316 Maple Avenue

WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public I
hearing on February 17, 1981 and again on March 17, 1981 upon the application
of Reed. L. Beidler (owner) for variations from the lot area, conversion,
i
off-street parking and non -conforming structure (Section 6-10-3) regulations
to permit the conversion of six rooming units on the ground floor into the i
' I
twenty-first and twenty-second dwelling units on property located at 1316
Maple Avenue, Evanston, Illinois an R-6 General Residence District, said '
hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof
in the manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the
application for said variations be granted. i
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY

OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION 1: That the application of Reed L. Beidler for variations;
from the lot area, conversion, off-street parking and
non -conforming structure regulations to permit the co-iversion of six rooming
units on the ground floor into the twenty first and twenty second dwelling
units on the property located at 1316 Maple Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, and
legally described as follows:
That part of Block 42 in Evanston, commencing at a point in
East line of said Block, 180 feet North of Dempster Street;
thence running North along East line of said Block, 70 feet;
thence West on a line parallel with South line of said Block
(being North line of Dempster Street), 200 feet to an alley;
thence South along East line of said alley, 70 feet; thence
i East 200 feet to the place of beginning, in the South West
1/4 of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the
Third Principal Meridian.

SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby {

directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms i
