AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use Permit
for the Property at 1155
' Hartrey Avenue (part of
2100 Dempster Street)
WHEREAS, The Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public
i
hearing on November 18, 1980 and on December 16, 1980 upon the application
j of Reed L. Beidler as sole beneficiary of LaSalle National Bank of Chicago,

Trust 101306, for a special use to permit retention of a scrap metal re-
cycling firm where all activities, including the storage of waste, raw or
finished materials, are conducted only within an enclosed structure on
property at 1155 Hartrey Avenue (a part of 2100 Dempster Street) Evanston,
Illinois, property located in an M-3 Restricted Manufacturing District;
said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication.

WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such a
special use permit be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION 1: That the application of Reed L. Beidler for a special
use permit to allow the retention of a scrap metal
recycling firm where all activities, including the storage of waste, raw

or finished materials, are conducted only within an enclosed structure on
the property located at 1155 Hartrey Avenue (part of 2100 Dempster Street)
Evanston, Illinois and legally described as follows:
That portion of the North half of the NE
s 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 24, Township
41 North, Range 13 East of the Third
Principal Meridian lying West of the right
of way of the Chicago & Northwestern Rail-
way, except the North 33 feet thereof and
except the West 33 feet .thereof heretofore
dedicated.

i Lots 1, 2, 3 and the North half of Lot 4;
Lot 23 (except the South 7 feet) & Lot 24
together with the vacated alley lying be-
tween said Lots 1, 2, 3 and Lot 22, 23 and
24; vacated Crain Street lying North of and

of Lot 4 and lying Westerly of the right of

Third Principal Meridian, in the City of
Evanston, Cook County, Illinois.
is granted subject to compliance with al.l other applicable provisions of
the Zoning Ordinance and all other applicable laws.
w jl SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby
directed to issue such permit pursuant to the terms
of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the
manner provided by the law.
