HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1981-114-O-8111/24/81 12/16/81 • • • 114-0-81 AN ORDINANCE Granting Variations from Use and Sign Regulations by Permitting Retention of Public Restaurants and Two Signs at 1617-25 Hinman Ave. WHEREAS,the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing on October 20, 1981, upon application by the First National Bank & Trust Co. of Evanston as Trustee under Trust R - 2612, James L. Kosbie and Sheldon J. Weinstein, beneficiaries, for variations from the use and sign regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit retention of a public restaurant and two signs on property located in an R 7 General Residence District; said hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS,the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for said variations be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of the First National Bank & Trust Co.. of Evanston as Trustee under Trust R - 2612, James L. Kosbie and Sheldon J. Weinstein, beneficiaries, for variations from the use and sign regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit retention of (1) a public restaurant and (2) two signs, all on the property located at 1617- 25 Hinman Ave., Evanston, Ill., and legally described as follows: Lot 5 in Block 21 in Evanston, in the'S. E. of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the. Third Principal Meridian; according to the Plat thereof recorded July 27, 1854, in Book 85 of Maps, page 42, in Cook County Ill., All in Cook County, I l l., is granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and other applicable laws. • ordinance. 114-0-81 SECTION 2: That building permits will be issued for ordinary maintenance and repairs to the subject property. SECTION 3: The Director of Building and Zoning is hereby directed to issue permits pursuant to Section 2 of this SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner pro- vided by law.
