HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1982-079-O-827/21/82 7/28/82 79-0-82 • AN ORDINANCE Granting Variation and Special Use ` at 1740-1800 Ridge j WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public f hearing on June 15, 1982 and again on July 20, 1982 upon the application of American Hospital Supply Corporation, as owner, and as beneficiary of the First National Bank of Evanston, Trust R7"2701, for variation from the off- street parking regulations to permit 119 off-street parking spaces instead of ` the 157 required, and for a special use to permit retention of a parking lot not allowed in the R1 Single -Family Residence at 1740-1800 Ridge Avenue, property i located in an RI .Single -Family Residence District, a B2 Business District and a C2 Commercial District; said hearings having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and • WHEREAS, the.Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the appli- cation for said variation and special use be granted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of American Hospital Supply Cor- poration, as owner, and as beneficiary of the First National Bank of Evanston, Trust R-2701 for (1) a variation from the off-street; parking regulations of the Zoning Ordinance, Section 6-9-2-10(W) to permit 119 off-street parking spaces to serve the property instead of the 157 spaces ' required; and (2) a special use to permit retention of a parking lot serving ,a use not allowed in the R1 Single -Family Residence District in which it is • ,located, on the property located at 1740-1800 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, Illinois,; and legally described as follows: � 1 7/28/82 a i 79-0-82 Lot 1 being a consolidation of Lots 13 and 14 in Montjoie's Addition to Evanston, being a Subdivision of part of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14, and part of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range 13; Lot 24 in County Clerk's Division of unsubdivided lands in the NW 1/4 of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14; • Lot 6 and Lot 7 (except the West 25 feet of the S 1/2 of Lot 7) in Circuit Court Partition of Lots 23 and 25 in County Clerk's Division, aforesaid; and also vacated Lyons Street lying South of --County Clerk's Division, aforesaid; all East of the Third Prin- cipal Meridian, in the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois n LJ 40 be granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning j Ordinance, other applicable laws and the condition that all improvements i be in accordance with the plans submitted and identified as Board's Exhibit 1, and that.the applicant will make all possible efforts to supply the deficiency of 38 off-street parking stalls as soon as the opportunity arises. ordinance.
