AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the Sale of Various
Scrap Metals Owned by the
City of Evanston, Illinois
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has .determined that it is no longer
necessary, practical, economical, or in the best interest of the City to
retain certain scrap brass, cast iron, steel, and steel metals; and
WHEREAS, said personalty consists of four (4) lots of similar
items beina valued at more than One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars i
($1,500.00); and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of
the City of Evanston to sell said lot by sealed written bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to Section 1-17-3 of the City of Evanston
Municipal Code, the City Manager of the City of
Evanston is hereby authorized and directed to offer certain personalty to wit:!
3,000 pounds of scrap brass,
2,000 pounds of scrap cast iron, i
1,000 pounds of mixed cast iron,
brass, and steel scrap,
2,000 pounds of scrap steel for sale
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of'ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval ah d publication in the
manner provided by law.
