HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1982-042-O-82!� 4/23/ 82 4/26/82 42-0-82 AN ORDINANCE jl Granting a Special Use Permit for the Construction of a Retirement Home at 2241-2321 and 2246-2316 Noyes Court • ►1 WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a public i� f hearing on April 6, 1982 and again on April 20, 1982 upon the application I. of the Housing Authority of the County of Cook (option holder) and the City of Evanston for a special use to permit construction of a retirement home at j� 2241-2321 and 2246-2316 Noyes Court, property presently located in a B2 'i Business District and C2 Commercial District; said hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the manner prescribed by law; and fj. WHEREAS,a petition to rezone the property from the aforementioned 11 B2 Business District and C2 Commercial District status to an R6 General jf Residence District has been approved by the Zoning Amendment Committee; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the • !I ,! application for said special use be granted; I I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF !; EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: • SECTION 1: That the application of the Housing Authority of the County of Cook and the City of Evanston for a special use to permit construction of a retirement home on the property located at 2241-2321 and 2246-2316 Noyes Court, and legally described as follows: (1) Lots 6, 7, 8, and 9 and 10 in Block 3 in Owners Resubdivision of Blocks 2, 5 and 6'in Orrington Addition to Evanston in the South West 1/4 of Section 7, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. (2) Lots 5, 6 and 7 of Block 2 of Owners Resubdivision of Blocks 2, 5 and 6 of Orrington addition to Evanston, in the South West 1/4 of Section 7, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Princi- pal Meridian (except that portion heretofore conveyed to the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad, being a 40 foot strip, the Easterly line of which is a line drawn parallel to and 40 feet from the Westerly line of said Lot, in Cook County, Illinois). it t �I 42-0-82 �i (3) The North 196.8 feet (except the East 26 feet 10 inches of the ' South 30 feet thereof) of Lot 11 in Block 3 in Owners Resubdivision of Blocks, 2, 5, and 6 in Orrington's Addition to Evanston in the South West 1/4 of Section 7, Township 41 North, Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. •� is granted subject to adoption by the City Council of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance rezoning the aforementioned property from a B2 Business i. District and C2 Commercial District status to an R6 General Resident District, i compliance with all provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, all other applicable i laws, and the conditions that the City Council shall agree to the vacation of those portions of Noyes Court and the adjacent alley as depicted on Zoning I . ! Board of Appeals Exhibit 1, and that title to the property in question be i� conveyed to the Housing Authority.
